As of Friday, 68 per cent of people age 18 and older have received their first dose, while 66 per cent of residents age 12 and older have their first shot.
Seventy per cent of all adult residents have to have their first shot by June 20 in order to make the mid-July reopening possible. Furthermore, more than 4 lakh (4,48,760) vaccine doses are in the pipeline and will be received by the states/UTs within the next three days, said the Union health ministry.
