It is a recommendation and it is up to each of Canada's provinces to decide to follow it or not. Canada has placed bigger bets on Pfizer and Moderna, ordering up to 76 million doses of Pfizer and up to 44 million of Moderna, compared with up to 20 million of AstraZeneca.
Canada, like several other countries, suspended the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine entirely earlier in March.
She said the data changes daily, and the messaging on the AstraZeneca vaccine could potentially be different come Wednesday when the province will next update on the province's vaccine rollout.
