The Japanese multinational giant has also developed a new 3D audio plug-in named the "360 Reality Audio Creative Suite". In case you didn't know, the 360 Reality Audio is Sony's spatial audio technology that aims to replicate live music by placing different sounds and vocals in a room around you.More news: New Apple AirPods Pro, iPhone SE are on their way
"360 Reality Audio is a powerful platform that brings listeners an experience that honors the creator's true intent, and brings artists and fans even closer together", said Mike Fasulo, president and chief operating officer, Sony Electronics, Inc. Moreover, you can wirelessly connect both speakers to select Sony Bravia TVs to optimize airtime.
Unlike most speakers that spread sound horizontally, these speakers spread background music both horizontally (wall-to-wall) and vertically (floor-to-ceiling) with Immersive Audio Enhancement and Sony's 360 Reality Audio content playback. The Sony SRS-RA5000 and SRS-RA3000 are both supposed to create "ambient room-filling sound", with the idea being to help you "relax as if you were at your favourite cafe"-perfect, seeing as working in cafes isn't exactly advised right now, due to COVID-19". With the Google Home app or the Amazon Alexa app, you can set up the units as part of a multi-room audio system. You can also control the RA5000 and RA3000 with your voice via Google Assistant or an Alexa compatible device. It adjusts the volume of every track automatically, so the loudness is balanced for all the tracks. Simply press and hold the RA5000's immersive sound boost button and the calibration process will begin.More news: Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Zombies
Another difference between the two is that the RA3000 has humidity resistance, which should make it the better option if you wanted a bathroom or kitchen speaker. Both speakers can connect to your home Wi-Fi or can be streamed to via Bluetooth. During the announcement, Sony said that it plans to release these speakers named SRS-RA5000 and SRS-RA3000 sometime in "Spring" this year. The company was clear in response to Engadget's emails that details for North American products are still forthcoming later this spring - including pricing.
According to the press statement on Sony's United Kingdom website, the SRS-RA5000 will cost approximately £500 /€599, while the SRS-RA3000 is priced at about £280 /€359.More news: Critically ill Covid-19 patients to receive new potentially life-saving drugs
