Samsung to advance QLED, microLED TV technologies in 2021

(Pocket-lint) - LG's display technology arm has announced a next-generation OLED panel that can be made in smaller screen sizes - including 42-inch. It plans to expand its OLED line-up to the 20-30-inch range later.More OLED TV sizesLG Display is supplying LG Electronics, Sony, Panasonic, Philips, Vizio, and many other TV brands with OLED TV panels. That will possibly provide a cheaper option for OLED buyers and could be an attractive option for gamers as well, given the popularity of LG's 48-inch OLED gaming TV.

LG Display is a segments maker and doesn't deliver customer items itself, so it's indistinct who's really going to put a 42-inch TV marked down this year. Perhaps we will learn more during CES 2021 this week.

LG Display has been producing OLED TV panels since 2013.
