There will have another penumbral lunar eclipse on November 30 and a total solar eclipse through the southern portions of Chile and Argentina on December 14 at the next eclipse season.
According to USA Today, this month's full moon derives its name - Strawberry Moon "from the Algonquin Native American tribes in eastern North America, who used its appearance as a signal to gather ripening wild strawberries, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac".
The next penumbral lunar eclipse - on 5 July - will be visible from most of Africa, as well as North and South America, and parts of Europe.

The entire duration of the eclipse is 3 hours 18 minutes and 13 seconds.
A penumbra, the bureau said, refers to a partially shaded outer region of a shadow that an object casts. The total Solar Eclipse can only be seen from a small area on the Earth.
"For spacecraft at the moon such as the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, the reduction in solar power is noticeable", the agency wrote in the statement. "Instead, observers can see only the slightest dimming near the lunar limb closest to the umbra", PAGASA explained. The maximum eclipse, during which the Sun appears like a ring of fire, will take place at 12:10 pm.

While the full moon will be a sight in and of itself, celestial watchers will be treated to an accompanying partial eclipse of the moon on Friday, depending on where they live.
And speaking of smartphones, a free app such as Color Grab can pick up this change in color as well.
This is also one of two penumbral eclipses that bracket eclipse season two of three for 2020 - the most that are possible in one year.

According to the Royal Greenwich Observatory, the Strawberry Moon will rise at 8.12pm in the United Kingdom, and will be full for up to three days.
