Mohamed Salah available for Liverpool's clash with Atalanta

Egypt's health ministry has confirmed that Salah's latest test was negative, theoretically enabling him to return to Midwick next to Jজrgen Klopp.

Nonetheless Salah's return to training and potential availability for their European clash against Atalanta in midweek will be a welcome fillip for Klopp's injury-hit squad. Naby Keita had to depart the pitch during the club's showdown against Leicester City with Klopp confirming that the midfielder had endured a hamstring problem.

Salah was absent from his team's confrontation against Leicester City, and it is expected that he will not participate against Atalanta in the Champions League before becoming available after that. "One looks closer, the other not so that is the situation", when asked about the fitness of Thiago and Jordan Henderson.

Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners in Italy but for Klopp, the reverse at Anfield is not a foregone conclusion.

He added, "Tomorrow [Monday] we have UEFA testing for the Champions League and I am pretty sure he will be in that".

'Atalanta is a threat even without a point to prove, ' Klopp insisted.
