CNN reports: "A person familiar with Friday's meeting said the session was cordial as the group explained to the President the process for certifying the election and assigning electors in their state".
The letter urged a full audit of votes in the county, citing allegations of "irregularities" that have not been substantiated. They are also seeking to invalidate or change the results through recounts and direct pressure on lawmakers in several states.
Wrote Shirkey and Chatfield: "Michigan's certification process should be a deliberate process free from threats and intimidation".

The judge, a Barack Obama appointee, dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning the Trump campaign can not resubmit the case. "We will show massive and unprecedented fraud!" he wrote in one tweet. Trump wrote on Twitter. Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the organisation that intervened in the case, said the court verdict has dealt another blow to the president's attempts to undermine the Election 2020's decisive results in the commonwealth. The Trump campaign has vowed to appeal.

Earlier on Saturday, Republicans Mike Kelly and Sean Parnell filed a lawsuit to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania requesting to declare universal voting by mail unconstitutional and deny the majority of Pennsylvanian votes in the USA election cast by mail. More than 78% of Detroit residents are Black, according to U.S. census data.
