At $129, the MagSafe Duo was already going to be a pricey accessory that we wouldn't recommend to most people. However, Apple has now updated the product information on the store's listing, and revealed that the device will charge at less than the regular MagSafe Charger. Apple has not announced when it will launch the MagSafe Duo charger for end users. Unlike other MagSafe accessories, the Duo charger isn't available in shops yet, but Mark Gurman from Bloomberg spotted some interesting information about the gadget.More news: Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine deliveries could start 'before Christmas'
As with the standard MagSafe charger, the MagSafe Duo does not include an adapter in the box.More news: Scott Disick and model Amelia Hamlin confirm relationship on beach stroll
Another aspect worth pointing out is that the charger doesn't ship with a power adapter and you will have to purchase it separately. The MagSafe Duo charger allows users to wirelessly charge their Apple Watch and iPhone simultaneously. Add that to the cost of the MagSafe Duo and you're looking at just under $180. Whilst 14W is obviously a fairly minimal difference compared to 15W, as Apple specifies, you'll need a charger of at least 27 watts to achieve this power.More news: Israel Launches Retaliatory Airstrikes in Syria
Regardless of the charger used, the iPhone 12 mini will only charge at 12W speeds. In truth, the itemizing on Apple India's web page has not been up to date with this clarification simply but. Apple's official 20W USB-C energy adapter prices Rs.1,900 and the 30W USB-C energy adapter is priced at Rs.4,900. The news aren't great though - its charging speeds only reach 14W though, which is lower than the single MagSafe 15W charger.
