'When I first received the drink I was in shock that in this day and age something like this could be written, ' the shaken college student said during a press conference on Monday with a civil rights attorney, slamming the incident as Islamaphobic. "It isn't okay", she said.
She said before she could finish telling the employee behind the counter her name, she saw the employee write something on the side of the cup and hide it from view.
Aishah is the first name of the woman and she wants herself to be addressed by her first name only out of fear for her safety. "It isn't OK", she added.

She even asked the manager about this but they dismissed the incident by calling it a mistake.
"We are very sorry for this guest's experience at our store and immediately apologized to her when she made our store leaders aware of the situation", it said.
"We have investigated the matter and believe that it was not a deliberate act but an unfortunate mistake that could have been avoided with more clarification", the company said.
CAIR-MN filed a charge to the Minnesota Department of Human Rights on Monday. When reached for comment, Starbucks declined, saying such locations are run entirely by Target.
