Last week the Norwegian FA announced that the men's Euro tournament had been moved before Uefa's announcement and on Wednesday the Danish FA released a statement saying: "The women's Euros and and the [men's] Under-21 European Championship is moved from the summer of 2021 to the following summer because of the fact that both the Olympics and the men's Euros will take place in the summer of 2021".
"All national team matches for men and women due to be played in June 2020 are postponed until further notice", UEFA said on its website.
Next month's UEFA Futsal Championship League finals have also been postponed until further notice.
However, the women's Under 17s Championship finals and the men's European Under 19s Championship are both only postponed, as both tournaments are set to double up as qualifiers for Federation Internationale de Football Association youth World Cup finals.More news: Coronavirus: Italy’s Death Toll Exceeds 13,000
Friendlies that will not now go ahead include England's matches in Austria and at home to Romania in early June.
European football, now at a standstill because of the coronavirus, is focusing on a restart in July and August with clubs and leagues being told that stopping competitions should "really be the last resort".
As a result, the decision has been taken to scrap deadlines for entry to 2020-21 competitions, with domestic leagues nearly guaranteed to not be completed by that date.More news: 13-year-old boy dies of Covid-19 in the United Kingdom
"There is a very strong case to be made that it should be in everybody's interests to as much as possible extend those", said Jonas Baer-Hoffmann, the general secretary of global players' union FIFPro, when asked about the issue of expiring player contracts in a conference call on Tuesday.
"We are confident that football can restart in the months to come - with conditions that will be dictated by public authorities - and believe that any decision of abandoning domestic competitions is, at this stage, premature and not justified", UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, ECA chairman Andrea Agnelli and EL president Lars-Christer Olsson stated in a letter sent to leagues, clubs and national associations.
However, the Spanish federation also revealed that UEFA have laid the ground for playing club football in July and August should a June return not prove feasible.
