The Giants also added Mark Hallberg as an assistant coach, rounding out a 13-person Major League staff that includes 3rd base coach Ron Wotus as the only holdover from the Bruce Bochy era. "That is why in addition to helping the remainder of the training staff on the area, Mark and Alyssa will concentrate on fostering a clubhouse culture which promotes high performance via, among other features, a profound awareness of cooperation and staff". "She has experience as an elite athlete". She was a flawless fit'.

In her USA college softball career, Nakken hit 19 home runs in 184 games with Sacramento.
