The pair are at odds after Rooney - wife of footballer Wayne Rooney - posted a message on Twitter accusing her fellow "WAG" of leaking stories about her to the press.
Vardy, wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, was at the centre of drama on social media yesterday when Rooney posted a message saying she had spent months trying to work out who was sharing stories about her.
Talking to the Each day Mail, Vardy, 37, revealed what was stated in a telephone name between the 2 girls after Rooney tweeted her allegations. Coleen - or Wagatha Christie, as she is now affectionately known - caught Rebekah, by deliberately posting fake stories to her close friends on Instagram, which she had narrowed down to only include Rebekah.
"It was not a simple telephone name". 'I wasn't going to say anything but it has gone so extreme, ' she added.
Speaking to The Sun, a tearful Rebekah said: "Everyone hates me".
In her statement, Rooney said: "For years now, someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The SUN newspaper of my private posts and stories. The mother-of-four said stories about her basement flooding, returning to TV and gender selection were only viewed by Rebekah's account - and the false stories all made it into the press.
She also said arguing with Coleen was like "arguing with a pigeon" as the war of words escalated this week.
Asked if they argued on the phone, Vardy replied: "That would be like arguing with a pigeon".
"You can tell it that you are right and it is wrong, but it's still going to s*** in your hair".
She called Coleen after the news erupted on the internet, sobbing and begging Coleen to believe that she wasn't guilty.

"I have never felt that it was my place to talk about someone else or their relationships".
Coleen publically accused Rebekah of selling personal stories about her and her family to The Sun in a Twitter post on Wednesday.
"I felt I had to say something because my daughter is so upset by the whole thing".
