A fit and healthy 21-year old woman who had no pre-existing underlying health conditions has died from coronavirus.
Karen Mannering, 39, made the plea from a hospital bed, saying she was 26 weeks pregnant and had been diagnosed with COVID-19, leaving her with pneumonia in both lungs.
"Speaking from a personal experience this so called virus has taken the life of my 21-year-old daughter".
Chloe Middleton from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire died last week after contracting COVID-19 and according to her family, she had no underlying conditions.
Emily Mistry, Chloe's aunt, described her as a "beautiful, kind-hearted" young woman and said the family is in "unimaginable pain" and "shattered beyond belief".More news: India cuts repo rates to 4.4% to ease coronavirus impact
Chloe Middleton was just 21 years old. Professor Kiran Patel, Chief Medical Officer for University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, stated on March 22 that the teen had "significant underlying health issues", without elaborating.
The family, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in the United Kingdom called on people to stay indoors to halt the spread of the virus.
The UN's health body warned this week about how young people are also at risk from the virus.
"Please, please adhere to government guidelines".

Ms Middleton's sister, Amy Louise, added that it was "about time people took this seriously, before too many people end up in this devastating position". "She adored them and they certainly adored her back".
