Helicopter vision shared by 7NEWS shows preparations well underway for what appears to be a wedding at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast.
Irwin's mother, Terri Irwin, and her younger brother, Robert, shared their joy and approval over the exciting engagement news previous year with Terri writing on social media that it was the "best day ever".
The couple tied the knot on Wednesday at the Australia Zoo, Bindi announced on Instagram.
Aerial photos posted to Twitter also show the 21-year-old daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin emerging from a vehicle while wearing a white gown.More news: Coronavirus: Is lost sense of smell, taste an early symptom?
The images were broadcast less than 24 hours after Prime Minister Scott Morrison imposed a limit of just five people at weddings - the couple, a celebrant and two witnesses - from Wednesday midnight, to rein in the spread of a coronavirus.
It's thought Irwin and Powell, who got engaged on Irwin's birthday last July, wanted to get married before the strict new coronavirus laws surrounding weddings in Australia kick off at midnight.
Bindi Irwin leapt to fame as a child when her quirky conservationist father, whose television programmes were popular around the world, died in 2006, after a stingray's barb pierced his heart while he was filming off the Great Barrier Reef.
Bindi's 3.3 million-strong Instagram following has kept up with Bindi and Chandler's love story with the wildlife crusader sharing intimate moments, including when she said "yes" to her wedding dress in September a year ago.More news: World Health Organization warns USA could become coronavirus epicenter
"Dad, you would be so incredibly proud of Robert", she wrote on the heartfelt post. "You're always with me". I'm so looking forwarding to spending our forever together as your wife. "Here's to a lifetime of friendship, objective and unconditional love - Now let's get married already!"
Chandler, 22, also shared the news on his Instagram, revealing he proposed at the place they first met - Australia Zoo.
"Today we celebrated life and revelled in every handsome moment we shared together in our Australia Zoo gardens", she added.
Chandler has previously said proposing to her "in her very favourite place in the zoo, surrounded by animals, seemed like the ideal way" to do it.More news: NFL GMs call for draft postponement as team facilities close
