The Aslef District Organiser covering London Underground, Tube lines and Croydon Tramlink tweeted the alarming number of people crowding into the Tube on Monday, March 23.

But on Tuesday, Tube trains were again filled with commuters, leading Khan to issue an urgent appeal.

Nigel Farage said the scenes across the London Underground are "disgraceful" and the situation is getting out of hand.
"To make sure we can do that there will be a number of changes to the services we provide, including suspending the Night Tube and Night Overground, suspending the Waterloo & City line and closing some stations to ensure we can staff key locations".
Under the measures, members of the public can only leave their homes once a day to exercise and will only be available to visit essential shops such as supermarkets or pharmacies.
However, it seems like the complaining commuters are also at fault here, as they themselves are using the service, too.
He said that a "proper package of support" from the Government for these workers "would alleviate this situation".More news: Ontario Protecting the Most Vulnerable During COVID-19 Crisis

She added: "I feel like I am risking my health trying to get to work".
"I still don't think things have improved as a large amount of people are commuting early in the morning".
'The Government must help keep transport workers and the public safe by urgently extending financial assistance to the self-employed and other workers so nobody risks losing their income by staying at home, and make it clear that workers in all non-key sectors of the economy must not travel to work'.
