Hamilton has given his own warning to the competition though, saying the feeling that he has "physically and mentally" this year is on "another level" compared to last year. He also said on Instagram that his winter training had been "one of the best" and he had lost five kilos compared to the same time previous year.
"I fit in my seat, which is a start", he said on Friday.
He added: "The feeling I have, both physically and mentally, is on another level compared to previous year".
Hamilton, whose current contract expires at the end of the season, is in negotiations with Mercedes over a bumper deal which could be worth up to a staggering STG 60 million ($A115 million)-a-year.
