"Cricket Dadi" as she came to be known, breathed her last on January 13, her "official" Instagram page announced on Wednesday. As per a report, Charulata Patel passed away on January 13, 2020, at 5:30 PM.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday condoled the demise of India's super cricket fan, 87-year-old Charulata Patel. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, who was commentating during that game, had also hailed her. Charulata had won nearly everyone's heart after she went to the Edgbaston Cricket in Birmingham to see India's round-robin match against Bangladesh in July past year. Even though she was born in India, she had said she took pride in the Indian cricket team since her parents are from there. Thank you for your unconditional love and support. She was our world.
"With a heavy heart, I tell you that our lovely grandmother took her last breath on January 13th at 5:30 pm", it said in the post.
The BCCI took to twitter to offer condolences.

He had coupled it with a message for Cricket Daadi, saying: "Dear Charulata ji, it is so inspiring to see your love and passion for our team and I hope you enjoy the games with your family".
