Several Trump campaign officials jumped on Cuomo for making the comparison between "Fredo" and the n-word.
Cuomo announced Monday afternoon that "Cuomo Prime Time" would be back on-air next week.

Cuomo took issue with the individual calling him "Fredo", which is the name of The Godfather character who turned on his family, a modern-day take on Judas as it were. "You call me "Fredo" it's like I call you punk b-ch, you like that?"
"Are you Italian?" Cuomo asks someone out of the frame.
"I'll f-- ruin your s--", Cuomo tells him.
"You're gonna have a f--in' problem", Cuomo said. "Call me Fredo. Take a f-- swing".
CNN spokesman Matt Dornic replied to Trump on Twitter.
"They use it as an Italian aspersion", he said.

Mr. Cuomo insisted that "Fredo", a reference to the weak brother in the "Godfather" films (Mr. Cuomo's brother Andrew is governor of NY and father Mario had been), is an anti-Italian slur.
The president's son took notice.

Others on Twitter pointed out that CNN anchor Jake Tapper depicted Trump Jr.as Fredo in his political cartoon segment back in December and a CNN guest called Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the "Fredo of the Republican Party" in March.
The video instantly went viral, catching the attention of Donald Trump Jr. "Th N word is a dehumanizing word used against blacks who endured years of oppression".
