On Thursday afternoon, police arrested Sendrick Johnson, 27, charging him with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury, Dallas police announced on Twitter. It's not yet known how he died.
Harvey said that that given the period of time that had elapsed, police were concerned that the grandfather and the boys could be far from Toronto and at one point went so far as to notify the U.S. Border Service.

The aunt told police that she put Cedric to bed at about 11 p.m. Tuesday and woke up to discover him missing nearly seven hours later. He has black hair with braids and brown eyes.
Police are canvassing the area and ask anyone who has information or thinks they may see Cedric call the department immediately. The front door of the apartment was unlocked that morning, the station reported.

According to a police report first obtained by KAKE-TV, a child inside the condo told her aunt that she saw a man take the toddler from the home. "In addition, the Dallas Police Department have asked for the FBI" s assistance and they are now helping with the investigation.
Police identified the relative as a step-grandfather, 47-year-old Harold Johnson. "Is something bad happening to my child?' We just want everybody to put themselves in those positions". The suspect was last heard from in Dallas, according to police.
