While David appears to be guilty of something, Jenelle is now saying that her story was a complete fabrication she created in hopes of getting publicity.

TMZ reported that Jenelle has changed her story regarding the matter several times, but she now says the whole thing was done for publicity. She claims that she told police that she never saw anything because she was inside the house with her kids at the time but did hear what could have been a gunshot.
Jenelle openly mourned the passing of Nugget on social media and even told authorities her husband "just took her [Nugget] and shot her in the woods.about two acres away from the house".
When she responded to the chief, she told him that what he heard about Nugget, her dog, was true and that it wasn't a publicity stunt.
On May 1, 2019, Columbus County Sheriff's Office and Columbus County Animal Control initiated a joint investigation into allegations of animal cruelty that reportedly occurred at a residence on Money Hole Road in Riegelwood. Farrah Abraham has not been exactly polite when it comes to voicing her thoughts on all the latest Teen Mom drama concerning Jenelle Evans and Amber Portwood.
