No one expected a mash-up of one of Japan's most popular RPG series with Minecraft-like building mechanics, and no one expected it to be as good or popular as it was. However, compared to pretty much any other game in this genre, writing and character development is very much in the forefront. By pressing the touchpad you'll access a bird's eye view of the surrounding area in Dragon Quest Builders 2, which is useful for getting your bearings and checking the layout of your current build, as well as for spotting enemies.
