As well as acting, Brendan was also a singer and he topped the Irish charts with his hit "Combine Harvester" one year before The Wurzels made the song even more famous when they had a United Kingdom number one with their version in 1976.
Here in Clare, Brendan Grace is also being remembered. We giggled like school kids for the rest of the day.
The actor, who also starred in 2013 TV film Brendan Grace's Bottler, had lived in the U.S. for many years, but returned to his native Dublin in early June, where he was first diagnosed with pneumonia, before his terminal cancer diagnosis.
Commenting on his passing, RTÉ Director-General, Dee Forbes, said: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Brendan Grace".
