In a short video posted to Adult Swim's Twitter account, the stars of the show themselves (one of them somewhat reluctantly) appeared to tell faithful viewers that season 4 of the animated series will be coming our way in November 2019.
Created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Community) and Justin Roiland (Adventure Time), the half-hour animated series follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely risky adventures across the universe. It calls for 70 additional episodes of Rick and Morty, the animated comedy about the adventures of alcoholic scientist Rick and his grandson Morty.More news: Video shows Texas officer fatally shoot woman during altercation
By the time the show returns, it will have been more than two years since season 3 ended in October 2017.
The show had been previously renewed for 70 episodes, spread out over an undetermined amount of seasons, although a typical Rick and Morty season is 10 episodes. "We're very excited. We're working on them, they're going to be great". Roiland voices both Rick and Morty. And, of course, Rick being Rick.More news: Samsung Adds Apple TV App, AirPlay 2 to 2019 TVs
As the show makes it way five more months until new episodes are available, a gentle reminder that our picks for the overall series episode ranking is still available and ready to be shouted at for inaccuracies. "Neither Justin nor I [want to be] the one that drives anyone insane anymore, [and] I believe that - even though we can now focus on it exclusively - it won't be that much of a drain". As of this writing, we don't have a specific premiere date, but we do know it'll land sometime in November.More news: ITV cancels The Jeremy Kyle Show
