It's the Ikea map that's sure to add more fuel to a conspiracy theory held by one Antipodean nation that they are being wiped from the Earth.
The statement said: "Ikea is responsible for securing correct and compliant motifs on all our products".
"We can see the process has failed regarding the product BJÖRKSTA world map - we regret this mistake and apologise".

The Ikea shopper took a photo of the map in a Washington D.C. store and uploaded it to the sub-Reddit '#MapsWithoutNZ'.
"I have no doubt that a trained cartographer had no involvement in the creation of these products for Ikea", Lovell Johns Ltd's Liz Murray wrote. It will also launch an online shop and has plans for another store outside New Zealand's biggest city.
IF YOU'RE going to spend $42 on a world map, you want it to be geographically accurate at the very least.
One person fairly pointed out on the post that Ikea hadn't yet colonised New Zealand, but that's no excuse for them to leave us off the map.

"New Zealand, where the bloody hell are ya?" So far, Ikea Australia has referred New Zealand media outlets to Swedish headquarters for comment. Darby says to Ardern in the video.
This is not the first map-related calamity to involve the land of the long white cloud.
A third cheekily said: 'To be fair to Ikea, it ain't hard to forget about New Zealand'.
