This has been the likeliest outcome for several weeks but it now looks nearly certain that Aaron Ramsey will be heading for Juventus in the summer.
Since January 1, Ramsey has been able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with any club outside England, having been unable to agree a new deal with the Gunners.More news: Michigan Hires Alabama's Josh Gattis As Its Offensive Coordinator
Reports in both Italy and the United Kingdom have suggested that Ramsey's exit will see him swap North London for Italy and the Serie A.
That is according to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein, who wrote on Wednesday: "There have been enquiries from English sides and if Ramsey was to remain in the Premier League, he would favour a move to Liverpool".
The two enjoy a great relationship on and off the pitch and Real Madrid had made contact over a move, though Ramsey has elected to join Juve instead. He has played 252 top-flight games for the club, scoring 52 goals.More news: Week 6 Fortnite Challenges: Chilly Gnomes; Weapon Damage Bug (Season 7)
A three-time FA Cup victor with the Gunners, Ramsey scored the winning goals in the finals against Hull (2014) and Chelsea (2017).
Arsenal fans are resigned to losing Ramsey in the summer but it would be a bigger blow if he swapped Premier League allegiances by securing a move to Liverpool.More news: Trump denies knowledge of Paul Manafort's campaign dealings with Russians
