Sony confirmed that more tan 5.6 million PS4 consoles were sold worldwide during the holiday season, pushing the overall figure to an impressive 91.6 million units since the console was introduced in late 2013. In its press release, Sony mentions that the sales numbers refer to actual units that have been sold through to consumers. No doubt part of those sales came from its Black Friday exclusive Spider-Man PS4 Slim bundle, which retailed for a low $199.
