On its website, Hacienda HealthCare says it provides care for "medically fragile and chronically ill infants, children, teens, and young adults as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities".

Phoenix police are now investigating the case and have issued a warrant to check the DNA of Hacienda employees.
They said in a statement: "We will continue to cooperate with Pheonix police and all other investigative agencies to uncover the facts in this deeply disturbing, but unprecedented situation".
The investigation prompted outrage nationwide last week after KPHO revealed a 29-year-old Native American woman living in a yearslong vegetative state had been impregnated at the facility.
The woman is a member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and has always been in a vegetative state, the tribe's chairman said Tuesday.
"I am deeply shocked and horrified at the treatment of one of our members", he said. Authorities at Hacienda were reportedly unaware she was pregnant until she was in labor.

The relatives, who say they are not ready to come forward, asked for it to be conveyed publicly that the child has been "born into a loving family and will be well cared for".
Hacienda HealthCare is privately owned and has more than 40 Phoenix-based health care programs that serve 2,500 people a year, according to its website.
The state's online complaint database for care facilities shows complaints about Hacienda de Los Angeles going back to 2013, most of which involve fire drill and evacuation preparation or Medicaid eligibility. Nobody relayed the incidents to an administrator. Doing background checks isn't enough, said Erica McFadden, executive director of the Arizona Developmental Disabilities Planning Council.
The council recently formed a task force to look at how to improve training for health care workers when it comes to identifying and reporting sexual abuse.
