More than a year since his April 2017 arrest, Chris Soules has entered a new plea in his fatal vehicle crash case. The former reality TV star was taken into custody after the pickup truck he was driving rear-ended a John Deere tractor, according to the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office.
According to TMZ, Soules entered a guilty plea to one count of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident... which, even though a man was killed due to Soules' negligence, that's only a misdemeanor! Chris Soules has struck a plea deal after his involvement in a auto crash in Aurora, Iowa, last April that left one man dead. He is now scheduled for sentencing on January 19, 2019. "His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher's family". "Though Mr. Soules was shaken after the accident, he did everything in his power to resuscitate Mr. Mosher".More news: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas to wed in Indian palace
However, in early January, a judge denied Soules' motion to dismiss the case against him. Soules' defense had claimed that he did not bolt right away, and that he performed CPR, called 911, and did not leave until after paramedics arrived at the scene. "Mr. Soules remained on the scene with those emergency responders for several more minutes before returning to his home".
"People who have a fender bender are at a crash scene longer than Mr. Soules", Assistant Iowa Attorney General Scott Brown said at the time of the motion.More news: Colts win 3rd straight game, beating the Jaguars 29-26
