Strikes have come to an end in Scarborough, Pickering, London, Barrie, Sarnia, Amherstburg, Delhi, St. Thomas and Owen Sound, as well as a few regions in Quebec (Saguenay-Lac St-Jean, Abitibi and Hautes-Laurentides and Mont-Joli).
In a statement, Canada Post said strike action was impacting service in Edmonton, Calgary, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge, as well as 10 locations in Ontario and nine locations in Newfoundland.
Giovanni Cuda, president of CUPW, Local 508 in Brantford, said 156 local members began a 24-hour strike at 12:01 a.m. Monday.

Cuda said there are increased volumes of parcels due to online shopping and delivery of cannabis since the federal government legalized it on October 17. Those plants can process a million parcels and packets a day. "We need safe work".
With longer hours and an increase in parcels, the health and safety of employees is at risk, Cheeke said. "The overburdening, the overtime, constantly not being paid properly, it's definitely worth us being out here doing what we're doing", says one picketing postal worker.
The union and the postal service have been unable to reach new collective agreements for two bargaining units after 10 months of negotiations.
Cuda said he's hopeful the rotating strikes will "put pressure on Canada Post to address the main issues".More news: FDA approves highly effective new opioid regardless of ongoing epidemic
Canada Post says the strikes have caused a backlog in their delivery network, and customers can see delays in delivery of up to several days.
