"She's got guts, she's making some of the best music of her career, and she's absolutely deserving of Woman of the Year".
After releasing her incredible album "Sweetener" just a couple of months ago, Ariana Grande suddenly dropped her new song "thank u, next" out of nowhere recently - and now she's performed it for the first time ever on Ellen. Throughout the rest of the performance, she keeps fighting back giggles.
Grande chose to channel the classic musical number from "The First Wives Club", wearing bridal white alongside her two backup singers to resemble the film's stars Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Dianne Keaton. "Thought I'd end up with Sean/But he wasn't a match/Wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen and laugh/Even nearly got married/And for Pete I'm so thankful/Wish I could say "Thank you" to Malcolm/'Cause he was an angel", she sings.More news: Borat returns to television to 'tamper' with United States election

She sings: "Thought I'd end up with Sean/But he wasn't a match/Wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen and laugh. 'Cause she grew from the drama". Ariana asked after she returned.

We loved how she and her girls simply marched up the stairs and off the set at the end of the number giving great attitude and girl power, but DeGeneres was on the stage waiting to chat with her. Her performance was pre-taped on November 6, but instead of changing a thing, she embraced her fall with a sense of humor and let her fans see the original take in all of its imperfect glory.
