And the allegations have been made by well known actress Tanushree Dutta.
"Everyone has gossiped about this but have never spoken". The actress explained how Nana pulled and pushed her on the sets physically harassing her in the presence of the director, producer and the choreographer who were just dumb.
In 2009, Tanushree was supposed to do an item number in the movie that starred Nana Patekar, Rimi Sen and others. She said she had complained against Patekar's misbehaviour to producer Sami Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang, but no action was taken. However, a 2008 news report says that Nana Patekar had denied the claims of Tanushree Dutta in a press conference. "Rajnikanth recently did a film with him", she said.More news: Google Assistant coming soon to Roku devices
She further revealed, "My father told the producers that we will leave for the day and asked them to think over the situation".
In a recent exclusive interview with Zoom TV, Tanushree Dutta was asked about her views on the impact of the #MeToo movement on the film industry. "His behaviour with women has always been crude but no publication has printed anything about it".
She revealed that after she refused to do a steamy scene with an actor, he called people from a political party who vandalised her auto.More news: United knocked out of League Cup by Derby on penalties
She pointed out that while it is people like Nana Patekar who are problematic, assumptions are made about people like her - since she is a heroine who does glamorous roles and photoshoots, she would be "easy" as well. The actress back in 2008 has had a bitter experience with the actor who forced her for an intimate move in a song shoot which was not even necessary as per the script and contract.
Tanushree questioned actors such as Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth for working with people like Nana Patekar, despite knowing his history of inappropriate behaviour with women. The Bollywood beauty also claimed that numerous directors and the actors of the Indian film fraternity are equally obscene but no one dares to point them out because of the fear of losing roles and opportunities. How much they do and how much they don't know, no one knows.
Dutta, who debuted in 2005 with Emraan Hashmi, Sonu Sood starred romantic film, also workedin films like Dhol, Good Boy, Bad Boy and Apartment, which was her last onscreen appearance.More news: Three men arrested in Thailand for killing British millionaire and wife
