At its most basic, Storefront will feature a curated selection of more than one million products from almost 20,000 US-based small businesses.
Currently, about 300,000 small and medium-sized businesses sell on Amazon. As of writing, items are broken down into 12 curated collections, including: Back to School, Halloween, Home, Kitchen, Grocery, Beauty & Grooming, Travel, Pet Supplies, Toys & Games, Electronics, Jewelry, and Books.
Today we opened Amazon Storefronts, a new curated store where you can shop exclusively from USA small and medium-sized businesses selling on Amazon.

The new Storefronts campaign is another initiative meant to drive customers towards items from third-party sellers and promote the idea that Amazon is a "big collection of small". It's limited to US-based businesses, and Amazon says it has sellers from all 50 states.
The new initiative is another way for Amazon to show it's helping small businesses, even as its facing growing complaints that it's forcing more mom-and-pop retailers to close and mistreating its workers.
Amazon's aggressive strategy for expanding its business offerings has had an effect on some competitors in service sectors it has entered.
Amazon is also offering businesses more exposure with its Storefront of the Week, and Meet the Business Owners categories. A report from the Institute for Local Self-Reliance argued in 2016 that Amazon's expansion should be viewed as encroachment - it's left many businesses no choice but to join the platform as a third-party seller.More news: 30 passengers fall sick onboard India flight
"This is a ton of exposure for us", says Holly Rutt, who co-founded The Little Flower Soap Co.in 2010, and has been selling on Amazon for two years. Kicking off the site's launch is The Little Flower Soap Co., which sells handmade soap from MI.
Meanwhile, almost a quarter (24 percent) of small businesses say they already use Amazon as a sales channel, according to data from Insureon and Manta.
