The project came to be as new studies revealed that nearly half of all United Kingdom workers experienced poor mental health at their current job, and as many as one in four workers struggle with problems such as anxiety and stress without informing their employers. It found nearly half of the 44,000 workers questioned had experienced poor mental health in their current job.
During the event, the duke visited workshops demonstrating the gateway and met people trying out the new system.
Its launch follows Prince William's previous work for the mental health campaign Heads Together, which he launched with his brother, Prince Harry, in 2016.
