This collaboration has resulted in two new measures introduced with the new Google Fit version: Move Minutes and Heart Points. And it integrates with other fitness apps such as Strava, Runkeeper, Endomondo, and MyFitnessPal so that you can get credit for activities you track elsewhere.
The new app will encourage users to move more regularly and increase their heart rate by doing physical activity in order to meet the World Health Organization and AHA recommended amount of exercise.

The new Google Fit is also seeing a refresh in its UI, with a big tracker up top with those two metrics, followed by a breakdown of the rest of your health stats, including your history for the past week. Move Minutes are earned for any physical activity you partake in, including a brisk walk, jogging, yoga, etc.
Heart Points meanwhile focus on the activities that are actually getting your heart pumping, so you'll only earn these for more moderate exercise.
