US prosecutors on Monday rested their case against Manafort after 10 days of testimony alleging he evaded taxes and defrauded banks. The bank had signed off on millions in loans for Manafort despite concerns from some officials about his credit and the source of his financing.
On Monday, the vice president of Federal Savings Bank, Jim Brennan, testified he knew Manafort lied about his finances when he applied for $16 million in loans from the bank.
