Despite the closure, Perfect World promised it was "committed to supporting and growing Runic Games' beloved franchises". Speaking about the game in more detail, Yoon Im (senior vice president of publishing at Perfect World Entertainment) explains that the game is in good hands. Personally, we found both games to be rather great.
This is still a Diablo-esque game, all about slashing through enemies in procedurally-generated dungeons and grabbing ever more powerful loot to defeat ever more powerful monsters. No gameplay is shown in the Torchlight Frontiers trailer. Hopefully, we'll have a better idea of what Perfect World Entertainment mean exactly by a "shared world".
