If you follow golf at all you might recognize the name; British pro Tommy Fleetwood is now ranked 11th in the world and is a trendy pick for this weekend's PGA Championship at Bellerive in St. Louis.
United States player Tommy Fleetwood, born in 1959, discovered the unexpected windfall on Wednesday while with his friend Greg Thorner, who tweeted the bank statement showing the six-figure deposit between a $14.37 Walmart supermarket bill and a $16 wire transfer fee. That's when I realized that it must be for the other Tommy Fleetwood and I quickly worked out that it was his Open winnings.More news: Hamas militants killed by Israeli artillery fire in Gaza
Fleetwood - the English one - said: "I didn't know anything about it". "He said, 'No, no no.' He called the bank". "It was only for $14 or something but he called it up and looked at his statement, and that's when he shouted 'Holy smoke, I've just had £154,000 paid into my account!'" It looks pretty genuine and they are looking into it and I'm sure they'll feel pretty bad about it.
It's golfers who get the last laugh though, or at least the professional ones, as they try to play less golf and get paid a hell of a lot of money for doing it.

Friend of the Tommy who was accidentally paid, Greg Thorner, told the Press Association, "He played a few European events so the European Tour obviously had some information on him and it must have got mixed up".
