"Fifty-four years ago I bought a vehicle, (and) we're still talking about it", said Wise, who bought the baby blue Mustang for $3,447.50.
More than 60 Ford Mustang owners of all model years assembled to spell out the milestone number with their cars, which was then followed by a flyover in a P-51 Mustang vintage fighter plane.

"I get the same thrill seeing a Mustang roll down a street in Detroit, London or Beijing that I felt when I bought my first auto - a 1966 Mustang coupe that I drove across the country as a teenager".
