It's odd that a boxed, production model Google Pixel 3 XL has been leaked so far in advance of the expected launch date, which is thought to be 4 October, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility. The back of the phone looks similar to that of the Pixel 2 XL though, with a metal and glass cover and a single-lens camera. They look nice too. On the front we can see information pertaining to the device, which is running Android 9 Pie.

Google is expected to announce the Pixel 3 this fall. The notch on the Pixel 3 XL does look slightly better on these pictures, though it's still slightly bigger than what we have seen on the iPhone X, and much bigger than the one on the Essential Phone. The chunky notch also makes the status bar very thick. Coincidentally or not, Google released Android 9 Pie just a few days ago and managed to made headlines at a time when everyone was talking about Samsung's Galaxy Note 9.
