Brad Pitt said in court documents Wednesday that he has given estranged wife Angelina Jolie Pitt more than $1 million and lent her another $8 million since their separation two years ago, countering her assertion from a day earlier saying he has paid "no meaningful child support".

In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Brad fires back. he loaned her $8 million so she could buy the home in which she now lives, and shelled out more than $1.3 million in child support. "Given the informal arrangements around the payment of the children's expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file an RFO [request for court order] for the establishment of a retroactive child support order".
In the court documents, obtained by "Good Morning America", Pitt's lawyers also contend that at a hearing last week, Jolie's attorney did not mention any child support issues and claim that asking to schedule a new hearing on the subject is "calculated to increase conflict". The couple separated in September 2016 after two years of marriage and filed for divorce shortly after.

The incident was reported and Pitt was investigated by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, but was later cleared of wrongdoing. Jolie Pitt now has primary custody of their children.
