"I've been reading a lot about Brexit over the last couple of days and it seems to be turning a little bit differently where they're getting at least partially involved back with the European Union", he told reporters. The people voted to break it up so I would imagine that's what they'll do but maybe they are taking a little bit of a different route, so I don't know if that's what they voted for. May will be able to remain in power in the wake of a rebellion in her government over Britain's "Brexit" break with the European Union, and the resignation of her foreign secretary Boris Johnson, he had nothing good to say about her chances. "He is thankful for the wonderful welcome from the Prime Minister here in the U.K". "There will be no alliance more important in the years ahead", she said. "I was very surprised and saddened that he was getting out of government".

"The President likes and respects Prime Minister May very much". He insisted that he still thinks May is "a very good person" and claimed that he never called her a "bossy schoolteacher" as reported in the Washington Post. "She's got a great and attractive grace about her". "He is thankful for the wonderful welcome from the prime minister here in the U.K".

And Trump has now openly sided with them against the prime minister.

"My wife is a tremendous fan of hers".

The US President said: "I used to love London as a city". "She probably thought it was too brutal".

Speaking to TIME about Trump's comments at the launch of the blimp on Friday morning, one of the activists responsible said: "Great".

"I said, 'I want to apologise because I said such good things about you, ' And she said, 'Don't worry, it's only the press, '" Trump said of their purported conversation. "Just make sure you can trade with us, that's all that matters", he said to May. Trump has said next week's meeting with Putin "may be the easiest" part of his European tour. I will absolutely bring that up.

Earlier Thursday, Trump called out USA allies on Twitter, saying, "Presidents have been trying unsuccessfully for years to get Germany and other rich NATO Nations to pay more toward their protection from Russian Federation". "I think he is a great representative for your country", Trump told the newspaper.

Trump first met May Thursday night and the pair spoke for about 90 minutes and attended a state dinner.

May and Trump are scheduled to hold talks and a joint news conference on Friday.

He then took a question from Fox News regarding his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Younger voters - 18-34-year-olds - backed Mr Trump publicising his views on Brexit by 54% to 40%, compared with opposition by 51% to 46% among those aged 55 and older.

President Donald Trump came out swinging in a British tabloid interview Thursday, calling the mayor of London "soft on terrorism" and saying he felt unwelcome in the English capital.

May's office said it would not comment on The Sun article during a greeting with Trump and May at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to review a military exercise.

The second day of Trump's visit to the United Kingdom was marked by mass protests across Britain, with a huge blimp depicting him as a baby wearing a nappy flown by demonstrators in London.
