The body of a 30-year-old Argentina football team fan was recovered from a river near here today, two days after he left home upset over poor showing of the South American team in the World Cup, police said.
Joseph had gone missing on June 22, hours after Argentina's 3-0 loss to Croatia in 2018 FIFA World Cup match.

Dinu's colleague Sumesh who is also an Argentina fan said, "When we left office at 7 pm on Thursday, Dinu was a bit nervous about Argentina's chances as the team was in the danger zone after the surprise 1-1 draw against Iceland".
Police believe that Dinu Alex jumped into a nearby river named Meenachil and a search for him by the state Fire Force unit is on. His relatives identified his clothes and chain. When she woke up in the morning, she found Dinu's bed empty and the door on the side of the kitchen open.

The police dog squad was brought in and the sniffer dogs took Dinu's trail and stopped on the banks of the Meenachil river.
"A quick search revealed a suicide note in which he says he is leaving the world as he has nothing more to watch and see", said the officer.
