But one man's unique marketing campaign is another's to hijack. International House of Burgers! The chain, which serves pancakes for breakfast, changed its name on its social media channels and updated photos to put more emphasis on pancakes instead of its famous Whoppers. And you have to give it to them, it's working.
"Let the record show that the original IHOP/IHOb tweet was liked 21,000 times in around seven hours, while the Wendy's reply got more than 96,000 likes in roughly half that time", reports NPR's Bill Chappell.
