A grand jury in Virginia indicted actress and activist Rose McGowan Monday on one felony count of cocaine possession, according to online court records in Loudoun County, Virginia. If convicted, the 44-year-old could face up to 10 years in jail.
Rose has pleaded not guilty to the case, and states that she was without the wallet for five hours before she retrieved it.More news: CDC: 'Throw away' pre-cut melons after salmonella outbreak
In the incident, police claim to have found several small bags of white powder in the star's wallet, which she left behind on an airplane after arriving at Washington Dulles International. McGowan had flown in for the Women's March on Washington that day.
She has maintained her innocence; her lawyers have argued that someone planted the cocaine, possibly someone connected to Weinstein. "I assure you, this selective prosecution will be met with a strong defence".

"It is now public knowledge that Weinstein employed underhanded tactics to "silence" his victims".
