The big weather story is the break from the extreme heat we've had the past couple days both today and tomorrow. Widespread severe storms are not expected, but some areas could see hail and strong winds this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will warm heading into the work week and more rain chances towards the end of the upcoming week.
This coming weekend will remain hot and humid with highs near 90 and only a small chance for an isolated shower.
Few Storm Chances For Monday
Temperatures are going to soar back into the middle 90s by the early afternoon thanks to some sunshine and a south wind gusting to 25 miles per hour at times. Heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning are likely in some areas.
Rain chances will increase by midweek.
More nice weather under a good deal of sun will continue into Tuesday, but a warming breeze will develop as high pressure slides to the east of the Northeast a return southwest flow will push warmer, slightly more humid air into CNY.
