If you're anxious that you may have emptied out your account buying rounds and scoffing down kebabs last night, it's not just you - National Australia Bank is now in the midst of a nation-wide outage, with NAB customers unable to access their bank accounts, withdraw cash, and in some cases, use EFTPOS machines.

"We are a small business, in the middle of a busy Westfield shopping centre & we cannot take card payments - 75 percent of our transactions. on the busiest trading day of the week", one said via Twitter.

"The team is working to restore service as quickly as possible", BNZ wrote in their Facebook post. "We're sorry for the inconvenience", it said.

A BNZ spokesperson said eftpos machines and eftpos cards for BNZ customers are working again, as are BNZ ATMs.
