The Carter County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Tracy Garcia died after the dogs attacked her near her home last week.

One of the pets was put down by first responders; the others were later euthanized at the request of their owner.
"A predominant breed in these dogs is definitely standard dachshund", Dinwiddie said.

"This is a bad situation, a very unfortunate situation", Bryant said, according to KTEN. "This is just a bad deal all the way around". The DA will then review the documents to determine if the dogs' owner will face charges.
Garcia's funeral was performed May 15.
