When most sites are clamoring harder than ever for your time and clicks, it's interesting that Instagram is building a tool that might actually cause some users to put down their phones for a while and take a break from tapping and swiping.
Twitter user Jane Manchun Wong has found some code in the Instagram app which reveals that Instagram is testing a feature called 'Usage Insights' that will show you how much time you spend in the Instagram app. But the fact that it's there, and considering the recent focus on tech-related time management, there's a good chance that Instagram will activate the tool in an update in the near future. Instagram initially said that it had nothing to announce at this point in time but the Facebook-owned company's CEO has now confirmed that Instagram is indeed developing this Usage Insights feature to give users a more in-depth look at their Instagram usage statistics.More news: PUBG Mobile Update Adds Miramar Map
The "Usage insights" feature is expected to show the time a user spends on Instagram each day as well as their overall usage across an extended period.
The feature comes as parent company Facebook has also been talking up the need to promote quality content that doesn't waste people's time. " Systrom said in another tweet". We want to be part of the solution.More news: Woman detained after feces flinging incident at Langley Tim Hortons
