School Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan said that the reason behind not announcing the toppers list is just because of the other students whose percentage affected by one percentage or very little difference in decimals from the toppers, in the result, such students get depressed.

According to the formal declaration up on tnresults.nic.in since last week, the date and timing of the Tamil Nadu Board Class 12 result was notified to be May 16, Wednesday at 9:30 am in the morning. Students who belong to the TN board for the academic year 2017-18 will be able to check their results from the official website of TNBDGE; tnresults.nic.in.
Meanwhile, the overall pass percentage of Class 12 examination, conducted in February - March 2018, in Tamil Nadu was 91.1 percent.
