Nintendo has announced that we'll be able to play Mario Tennis Aces with the online play-test taking place from June 1st until June 3rd. If you gain enough performance-related points, you can unlock a further five characters, though it's not clear who these are.
While it's called a tournament, it doesn't mean that it's over after one loss, as players will get to challenge it as often as they like during the event and will acquire points based on victories. The playable roster will consist of four characters that include Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser.More news: Hamilton wins a relatively ho-hum 2018 Spanish Grand Prix
By downloading the free software from Nintendo eShop before the tournament starts, players can look forward to a weekend of fast and fun tennis action, as the tournament is open from 16.00 CEST on Friday 1 June until 00.59 CEST on Monday 4 June. Nintendo is also offering unlockable content in the form of Mario's dungarees for the main game.
With the unveiling of a new Super Smash Bros. title, and the general hype surrounding Nintendo's E3 presence, it may have been easy to forget that Mario Tennis Aces is due out next month for the Nintendo Switch. The single-player mode will consist of stages full of challenges and boss battles.More news: Mike Budenholzer 'the focus' of Bucks, Raptors coaching searches
